Hey Beauties,
My name is Lydia and I’m so grateful that you’re here. Many of you I’ve met in collaboration, in passing, online, or at an event and I must say, the New York beauty community is like no other!
I’ve spent a majority of my career at Google, leading beauty and wellness brands in their digital & growth marketing strategy. Working at this unique intersection of beauty, media, and tech has given me an expansive network and perspective on the beauty landscape to share.
I have always been energized by the growth and progress happening in beauty. I would listen to podcasts like Glossy and geek out about the business of it all. While interviews of big-wig CEOs and Celebrity Founders can be fascinating, I’ve always known that so many others were working behind the scenes and I also couldn’t help but notice the lack of representation.
I created this podcast to highlight the brilliant minds who are knee-deep in the day-to-day innovation and opportunities happening in beauty: the Brand Executives, Mid-Levels, "Head-ofs, Directors, Startup founders, Content Creators, etc. And more importantly, the black and brown professions within this vibrant community. Together we give listeners a peak behind the scenes of beauty’s buzziest brands and startups. Simultaneously, space is created for celebration and recognition of a community that is leveraging their careers to advance the way the industry addresses inclusion.
I envision a dedicated network for women of color and their allies to fellowship, inspire, share resources, and grow together in our beauty careers.
